Janet 1,417
Wow for once I am actually going to go read something published by heat magazine. I am really sore about the Metacritic thing, if you read the reviews most people said it was better than Prims and Bangers if they compared them at all. It seemed to be the general consensus that it was better pop music than them but the art wasn't there and certain tracks were considered filler. I feel that had critics reviewed solely the music, rather than the pretensions and her persona, ARTPOP would have fared better. Unluckily, she's just so divisive that many seemed to critique her, rather than the album, leading to rubbish ratings. When you find reviews that deal just with the album, you find they are far more positive.
Magoo 6
I see Mary Jane Holland has departed the top 1500 on UK itunes; the first ARTPOP track to do so. Farewell.
StrawberryBlond 14,256
Wow for once I am actually going to go read something published by heat magazine. I am really sore about the Metacritic thing, if you read the reviews most people said it was better than Prims and Bangers if they compared them at all. It seemed to be the general consensus that it was better pop music than them but the art wasn't there and certain tracks were considered filler. I think her sales have slowed considerably but there should be a weekend boost especially in physicals because people will be Christmas shopping already. I am hoping for at least 70k but I doubt she will get 100k tbh, her popularity hasn't gone down as much here as in the US (coz we brits like weird music) but it has dwindled allot. I think she could have got 100k If she hadn't performed Venus so much and if her performances on x factor and GN had been as good as swinefest or artrave but they weren't her best tbh even though she was still amazing. You don't need to buy it - just flip towards the end where all their reviews are and go to the music section - it'll have a big picture of Gaga in her underwear and angel wings. It's hardly reviewing professionalism or in detail but it's cool that they really reviewed it indepth. Heat are big fans of Gaga - ever since she released Applause, they've been printing something about her every week - sometimes even an entire picture to a page (the one with June Brown this week) and sometimes even several mentions of her, no matter how small. Gossip magazines reviews may be irrelevant but you've got to appeal to all sides of the market if you want to sell and I think people read music reviews in magazines more than they do online. Agreed - she needed to do far more promo here and perform Applause live. I also think she's just terribly unlucky with her release dates. These days, she always seems to release when there's at least two massive singles in the top two that show no sign of slowing down. It's annoying because the likes of Rihanna always seem to release when there's no competition so it looks like they're always so successful when they aren't. Even when Rihanna gets #1 albums with a #1 single currently in the charts, she still sells under 100,000. When people look back over old charts, they just see a number - they aren't informed of whether there was competition that week or not or whether the artist promoted the song or not. Exactly. Gaga's in a dangerous place right now concerning that. If she stripped everything right back, slowed everything right down and just played the piano, she'd get glowing reviews across the board and she knows it. But understandably, she's still a young popstar and she's got to make money on that front as long as she can. Of course she'll explore the other sides of her later but it's too soon yet. To go too serious too young wouldn't be good for her right now, what with her young audience and the public still wanting killer pop tunes from her. Unfortunately, the critics don't understand that. I do hope she'll eventually reach that point where all her work gets respect from critics regardless. MDNA is a case in point. I couldn't find one person who seriously liked that album but the critics still gave it favourable reviews because it's Madonna...just like they've always done. It's so unfair when someone is trying their damndest to write an amazing album and all they get is lukewarm reception and Madonna can cobble together something sub par and get praise just because she's been around for 30 years. I can't bear music snobs.

MANiCURE 790. Swine 880. Donatella Gypsy is definitely the way forward in regards to single #03. When I was requesting for DWUW on Radio Stations I noticed that about 60% of the radio stations (from the 199) have Gypsy, GUY (not all of the radio stations that have Gypsy, Sexxx Dreams and MANiCURE listed have GUY listed too), MANiCURE and Sexxx Dreams. Some of them have Fashion! (2013) at the request page too and one has Jewels N' Drugs, another one has Swine. So GUY, MANiCURE, Gypsy and Sexxx Dreams are obviously the future single choices. Ah kool, I was just saying It's not usually something I would read just coz I am not a magazine person (not that there is anything wrong with being one) so I wouldn't have known about it. Well allot of people read those so It will have helped her and will help her more I hope. yeh her single releases have just been a mess. I don't blame her tbh and Applause has become a hit in the US and may be back in the top ten this week so yay for that. I just think she should have performed it here more and it might have gone up the charts a bit. Tbh I never thought I would be hoping that Gaga can at least top Rihanna's selling power. I know she can get back on top and probably will even if not with this album but it was like living in a dream the way she was selling so well. Now she's struggling to keep up but it is only week one so I will hope for longevity and future success.

Well they were most people's top choices. I still think Gypsy will be a smash if promoted properly. What else though hmm. MANiCURE could be fun, I love GUY but for some reason I can't even imagine it as a single or a vid for it but I dunno it's an amazing song so XD. Sexxx Dreams I can see being popular but would major radio stations play it? I could imagine some refusing too or something.
