Whatever happens, I'm just overjoyed to see Gaga sitting at #1. Even if it's shortlived, its just been so long. This rule about promo singles not charting when preorders are involved is ludicrous and unnecessary. What's the point in preordering months in advance if this is going to happen? If more people become aware of this rule, it'll mean that the fans won't want to preorder an album again because they know it'll mean the chart peaks for singles won't be as good. If the same thing happens for Venus, I'm going to be explode. If she misses out on a #1 because of this stupid rule...How come no other artists have this drama? I sometimes think the charts companys are deliberately working against her and even her own label makes stupid decisions that don't seem to benefit her. Whoever came up with the idea of releasing BTW on a Wednesday needs a good spanking. Knowing that she missed out on a UK #1 (her last chance for a long time) because of that will forever be hanging over their head.

Lady Gaga has lost her UK Fans

"DWUW is #1 on UK iTunes"

Lady Gaga is no longer international

"DWUW is #1 in 70 counties"

Lady Gaga is **** now,

Lady Gaga will flop on x factor,

WHO CARES ABOUT LADY GAGA ANYMORE,

THE UK DOESN'T STAN FOR GAGA

DWUW is #1 on iTunes

Wow, I honestly can't believe it, I can't believe she's winning over the UK this easily.

I hate to sound like a bad stan.

But I really did think she was over in the UK

:ohno:  :fat:  :toofunga:  FORGIVE ME

My jaw dropped when I saw that she was #01. Wasn't Applause also a pre-order? That didn't even make #01. This proves that people outside of Gaga's fan base are buying the song (without pre-ordering the album)

This is just fantastic news, and it bodes well for her upcoming Venus performance. I'm more confident than ever that she'll get her first #01 in three years now. Brilliant.

odds are stacking up though, as long as there are no more *road blocks* in the way (touch wood).

EDIT: One thing I'm very surprised with is how none of Katy's album tracks are in the iTunes top 40  There's a second version of Roar (which is to be expected), but even her second single is struggling to go top 50. I'd have thought there was enough interest in her rn for there to be enough cherrypickers to send a few of her albums tracks into the top 40 at LEAST.
