I wish there were more platforms like X Factor in the UK... it's the only show I can think of that boosts sales so well. When she performed You And I on Jonathan Ross it barely moved it and

Marry The Night on Alan Carr did nothing. (Having said that Marry The Night on X Factor failed but then the performance was quite dull...)

The X Factor considerably helped 'Marry the Night', if I remember correctly? The music video wasn't out yet and AirPlay wasn't that high, I don't think, but I'm sure it was about #15 on iTunes by the time she performed at the Children in Need concert (the week after the XF performance), having been out of the top 100 before that.

YM@S #10 in the midweeks. Won't even be top ten by Sunday. And some thought she would threaten Gaga, let alone Katy lol

Do we have midweek sales for Katy so far?

Not up to date but this is it

"Katy Perry is heading for her third UK No 1 single with Roar outselling its next six rivals combined.

The Virgin single had sold 102,677 copies this week up to the close of business on Tuesday, according to Official Charts Company data, four-and-a-half times as many as its nearest rival Burn by Ellie Goulding and more than the collective totals of the songs sitting between positions 2 and 6 in the midweeks."

So basically 102k this week so far excluding yesterday and today.
