Roar is big and we can't do anything about it. I was watching Roar video yesterday and it finally hit me. It's obvious it's liked better than Applause, it's super catchy, extremely family friendly and could be enjoyed by toddlers and grandmas alike. Applause the song may be catchy but it has some weirdness with the (praiseworthy) verses and the video may be a bit too weird and dark for some people, especially when compared to Roar. The fact that Applause and its video are still a hit and people are buying it is enough to maintain Gaga's already legendary status. Gaga and especially her fans have nothing to be scared about. Katy is more likable and it's obvious why, deal with it. Of course people will love the dark haired non-weird, funny, colourful beauty over the eccentric, artistic, sometimes dark, always changing her look Gaga.
