This is like a prime spotlight for her to prove all of her abilities to the GP and naysayers. This is huge promotion for the album and single. Take a look at Led Zeppelin, they never released a single, yet they're one of the best-selling bands in history, and are recognized as one of the greatest. I'm comparing Gaga to LZ because just like her, they saw their albums as full works, and Gaga is truly a Rock Star who sings pop music. She really is an album artist, and as long as the music's good, she will be remembered. To me that's all that should matter. For example, Katy Perry is breaking records and getting number ones, but no one will study her work in 20 years like I think people will do with Gaga's. Trust me on that one. I thought she was terrible that time. Although TEOG was okay. But her first performance on SNL in 2009 was one of her best ever. She needs to do something like that again. Although, most of her performances after TFM seem to be lacking creativity and unoriginality, unfortunately, almost like she's trying too hard. Like what's wrong with a fantastic costume and a piano for a performance? I just hope she steps it up and gives us some more simple theatricality this era, rather than some obnoxious, over the top, head-scratching performances. I mean it's a great and new-sounding song for Gaga but the production at the chorus, based on what Ive heard in swinefest, is like from 80s. I agree that App is the best lead single choice. It sounds epic everytime i blow it on speakers like you'll automatically dance when you hear it. It needs to hit #1 on dance/club play songs tho. I think that The BTW performances were by far Gaga's best performances though. I mean they were complete, they had great vocals, great visuals and outfits and original ideas. During TF era I loved Gaga's vocals but I didn't like the looks and during TFM era eventhough the visuals were great, the performances weren't that interesting at all... Of course the 2009 VMA performance is an exception to all the above... So for me it's BTW performances > TF performances > TFM performances Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
