chris777 112
I thought BTW was Gaga's Rated R Yes and no. I don't think that Rated R damaged Rihanna's appeal to the public like BTW in some way did it with Gaga Maybe gags should released every year just like riri. People will forget what was her last style jk don't rihport me I would never do that bb 4. JAY Z - Holy Grail (feat. Justin Timberlake) 0.3385009800 5. Just A Holy Fool 2,550
This may be Gaga's Rated R era (just with better international peaks and hopefully more album sales) So hopefully the third single will smash in the US a la Rude Boy, which just happens to be my favourite Rihanna song. Just A Holy Fool 2,550
Lets wait for the real promo to start before we panic.... she may have lost her chance at #1, but I think a top 5 hit is still within reach.
LedyGudja 0
Sorry if this has been asked and established already, but do we know if the radio deal has kicked in at all? I know Billboard this week said that it did, but it doesn't seem like it has at all....? Also, I think we all need to relax a bit. Gaga's last single didn't even make the Top 20 (no surprise for a 5th single from an album that sold really well) and she's been away from radio for over a year and a half. She was always going to need to work for this lead single's success. Born This Way the song was released off the back of her explosive debut and it was no surprise it did so well. She just needs to promote, promote, promote, and be cute and like-able along the way. The rush release is very unfortunate because it essentially through Gaga's marketing plan up into air. The only promo they were able to move forward were the radio interviews. Still, GMA on Monday is going to be huge and I'm sure she has more appearances planed for the coming two weeks before she headlines the iTunes Music Festival. She'll be everywhere from now until November to make sure ARTPOP has huge opening week sales. Trust this. Gaga is the queen of promo blitz and I trust that Applause is going to benefit from her willingness to put herself out there and let people know she's back. We need some patience. Shadow 6,625
They care more about returns. If a single doesn't take off at first they don't try harder like Def Jam or Capitol does. That's why they basically kissed LMFAO's ass at the end of 2011. That Super bowl thing with Madonna was scary. It was hard to believe she agreed to it. Do your own research.
