New releases are going to shoot up regardless, there's not much you can do about that. Applause has remained strong despite huge competition from some of the biggest names in music right now. You might consider next time, wording it a little more gently so as not to offend, maybe prefacing it with, "You know guys, this just my humble opinion but I really feel this way, perhaps you can understand where I'm coming from here...." so as not to come off as too negative.
