It can drop 10% a week average, and still sell over 100k in 5 weeks. I bet we get 2 or 2.5 more weeks of radio growth. 2x platinum for Applause once ARTPOP is released seems possible, if we'll get at least 150K sales weekly. Do you think she can pull it off? Do you think she can pull it off? I believe she will surely go 2xPLATINUM this year. We are now fully in the hands of the radio and the promo strategy for the song. Sa at the end that poor thing has to sell millions to buy sth to eat. It's a good point. Bonnie McKee co-wrote 3 songs on TD and 2 on the re-release and she said in an interview recently that she loved making TD so much and wish she'd kept it for herself. If she can lay that much claim to it, it sounds like she was wholly responsible for a LOT of the songs in question. Her solo single, American Girl, sounds like it was something that never made the TD final cut, so you can see that the whole TD thing was Bonnie's own style and she let Katy borrow it for her album. In her earlier days, Katy did compose almost all her tracks exclusively on her own or with just one other person but on TD, she had 3-5 co-writers per song, so we don't know how much she writes really. And Waking Up In Vegas is the only song that she's ever had a production credit on too. I noticed that Roar had 4 additional co-writers (really, that paint by numbers song took 5 people to write?) and Dark Horse had 5 additional co-writers. Then you have to consider that most songs that involve Dr Luke have his style stamped all over it and you have to wonder how much the actual artist played a part. It's certainly a way that artists like Gaga can save money here and there - she writes basically everything by herself and now she even produces a great deal too.
