Pure Adrenaline 1,518 Posted September 16, 2013 Share Posted September 16, 2013 omg applause is doing fine the fact that is dropping in possition doesn't mean that is dropping in sales too, even more the song has incresed it's sales lately. 2 weeks ago the song was selling *almost half of Roar sales and now Applause is selling around 60% of the Roar sales, and since Katy's being stable with spanning around 350k every week it's pretty safe to say that Applause is doing good. Don't meltdown because we could even see it drop to 7 after DH is being released but once again that doesn't mean that we are flopping. And the promo of Applause by far is really great. Not too all over the place ala BTW yet not minimum we already received 3 live performances of that song 2 of them in the US, we know that she will head back to UK for the X Factor performance so that will give boost in UK and some parts in Europe. And in the US right now her best spot to promote is AMA but we all know that this not gonna happen in this decade one The Voice perofrmance would be more than enough for that song.....that's all what BL needed to become the biggest radio song ever and monster seller....so u never know for sure what things will turn out in the end. In best results, Applause could be number 5 but nothing more. But she doesn't need to release another single / promo single. Because competition is very high right noew. Wrecking Ball, Work Bitch, Roar, Royals, Dark Horse, new Justin Timberlake song etc. She can wait until mid-october to release another single. In this period Applause will be top 10 - 15 probably.
