That means out of the 50+ iTunes stores, she's in the Top 5 in most. Weighted she's #5, which shows that in some major markets shes lagging (UK/France) but others shes fairly strong (US/Canada/Japan). That's kind of tricky. I think that's the best course of action honestly, for several reasons. 1.) Anything released before November will likely kill Applause before it's completely done. 2.) Anything released past the around the halfway point in November will likely suffer the December Radio Freeze, which we don't want to happen again. 3.) Waiting to release the 2nd single until after the release of the album will show, via iTunes, which songs are most popular with buyers, which will help gauge which song would work best as a followup to Applause. 4.) There are two big promo spots in January - the American Idol Premiere and the Grammy Awards - which would be wonderful promo spots for a new single. GMA didnt have an effect because was there. The thing is : enough people know the song. Let radio and Kia commercial do the things from here. I am here for one more show, if she wont release the song in early October. If she does, let the song go its way. Um, katy and Gaga benefit much more than miley from vmas. I think it's also important to note that unweighted number though. #4 is amazing, that means shes doing very well in many small countries.
