Well i guess gma didnt have big effect because she was there two times in two weeks. She should do sth for nightime audience. She should do additional few medium sized performances and then leave it to its own. Perhaps not at this very moment, but definitely in the coming weeks. Even if it doesn't spur a large increase in sales, it could help reinvigorate the amount of views the video is getting, which will help on the Hot 100. That's less than two months since Applause... She needs longevity with singles this era unlike BTW which was very short because of the rushed single campaigns. The first single came out in February, and within three months the first three singles were already out... that's crazy. Applause stands a chance of lasting a while yet. I say one more performance on a late night show within the next two weeks and then leave it to radio. Then, assuming Applause does okay, second single around 28th October. Why would you put the album 3 months before the first single, if nothing happens until then? And I am fine with an early october, mid octobre, early november for the second single. The thing is can Applause stay top 10 with so much competition. Outside of US, things are kinda half half at the moment. In US, it looks like radio and Kia commercial is helping the song. Another important thing is choose when is the best time to release the second single, giving the competition you know. You dont want to put it out when Katy second / promotional single comes.
