Yes, I would like to interview these people and ask them what were the reasons why they bought the song :coffee:

I've talked to a few older people who were like OMG why is my frigging child playing this song. Once was nice now I am pulling my hair out. To me for real it sounds like a commercial. I don't know anyone who isn't tired of it. I guess it dies hard on radio.

Arturo

Everyone of my friends who has heard Applause said they liked it cause it was different yet catchy. Mind you, most are 15-16. Isn't that pop radios main demographic?
Not just in my life, but on Twitter I've seen teens react to Applause in a MUCH better way than BTW/Judas back in the beginning of the BTW era.

I don't think radio realizes that their main demographic DOES enjoy the song.

One "guess" I have regarding the radio ordeal is that they're buying into the media/hype that Applause/Gaga is flopping, so they don't want to play the song. Now if only they'd look at iTunes...

No idea. I didn't do the texting part since I live in Canada. I just did the request forms.
