BTW was enough for a life I don't think it'd flop. The demo of it sounds million times better than Applause, just imagine its finished version. It also sounds like an unique Gaga song. Combine that with the club bomb it can become (much, much bigger than Applause would ever have the chance tbh). Applause doesn't sound unique at all; it sounds pretty generic during some parts actually. and I think that's the biggest problem with it. Maybe it's just my stupid opinion though. Maybe it's just my stupid opinion though. your opinions are not stupid I definitely agree with you .. although I love Applause I think you're right If Burqa is better than It just Imagine some other songs like Ratchet / Sex Dreams (which I heard Gaga wanted to be a lead single but then they decided Applause) or G.U.Y ... You remember the most hyped songs on BTW were BTW, MTN and then they were 2 of the best tracks. .. I believe that Ratched GUY and Sex Dreams will be really great songs ..
