I'll be happy with Gaga peaking #2 and staying in the top 5 for a couple of weeks. I'm just worried about the next singles, I mean, can she outperform Applause with the next singles from ARTPOP?

I feel like she can if they're not leaked + released on the initial date with the right amount of promo. Plus Applause had to deal with the preorder confusion and what not.

lets wait for the vmas tbh we should give applause at least three more weeks before we consider it a flop

Yep. Lets face it, Applause has no chance to hit #1 on Billboard Hot 100. If thats the case I'll rather have Robin break the record for 17 weeks at #1.

Mariah's weave will be snatched again? cry.gif

I wonder who can break Taylor's record? Maybe she can break her own next era. 1513398.gif

Wait... So the preorder copies of applause are lost... forever?

Like they wont be counted towards the certifications? Like. Seriously? :wtf:

That's just sad.

They would be lost in the "complete my album" effect anyway, so it doesn't really matter. They were factored into its Hot 100 position, though.

Dark red update out of nowhere? Wtf Kworb. Get your **** together :grr:

And a #6 debut seems nice to me. Paparazzi and Alejandro peaked at #6. Gaga is not Katy, she's not going to score 5 #1s in a row. She's always had moderate singles success, so imo Applause is off to a great start

Alejandro peaked at #5 :teehee:

How? 218,000 is quoted for both digital sales and Hot 100 charts. I thought that number was without preorders. Is it actually including preorders? Or are preorders factored into the Hot 100 under some other category?
