Mama Ru 994
Maybe the whole point was for it NOT to be polished and planned carefully. It felt to me like Gaga rebelling against "the machine" and just making a fun, low-quality video that's reminiscent of the videos of her early days in the NY clubs. I like it. It's cute and doesn't feel manufactured like practically EVERYTHING in pop. "To crash the critics saying, "Is it right or is it wrong?"' kupo 201
Mess, meltdowns Okay Gaga we get it,you support drag queens, gays etc... At this point we just don't care anymore, the song is about you living for the applause wtf do irrelevant drag queens have to do with it. Drag culture fits PERFECTLY with the theme of this song--the way the house system crafted its own "legends" (yes, they were using that term WAY before it had been applied to pop princesses) who themselves competed all the time at balls specifically for the purpose of maintaining their reputation. The drag balls became a life support system for queens and trans* people in the lat 80s/early 90s who were poor and had been cast out of their homes. But at the balls they became superstars. It didn't make them rich. The rest of society still sh*t on them. But not at the balls. There, they could be celebrities. They lived for the "applause." Quit worrying what a still-close-minded GP will think. Gaga isn't sacrificing her artistic identity. You should be happy about that.

Dayman 6,128
Having actual footage of her in the video made it worth it. The video is entertaining without the lyrics even being there. 7/10 would watch again.

Guest
Drag queens are really cool. I don't see how including drag queens in your *lyric* video makes it cheap? From what I've heard, drag is expensive as ****. ye,but what do they have to do with the song? Edited August 14, 2013 by ABC

Minhpophooker 0
What makes Gaga stand out is that she's not overproduced. I bet Katy didn't even TOUCH anything related to her lyric video. She had her whole team do it.GAGA WENT THERE HERSELF AND FILMED IT HERSELF, WITH FANS.
Disco Heaven 43
It's a bad video, but who cares? Lyric videos are never good. What y'all expectong? I'm happy that she had fun with her fans. Why so desperate about a ****ing lyric video? It was made to be forgettable anyway.
crybrowz 3,241
THIS. I don't know why she did that in the first place.. This^ It really wasn't needed and it seems to be causing more harm than good
Slayer 9,227
I loved it!! It has a cool, behind-the-scenes feel to it. Plus, lyric videos are usually boring. Leave it to Gaga to take something so nonsensical and make it interesting. Like Madonna's career. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!! dollardays 3,673
What were you guys expecting? She loves 'Paris Is Burning', this is like her hommage to that lifestyle. And drag queens do live for the applause, so it fits. I don't really like it but you are taking it too seriously, it's all about having fun.
