There are two songs in particular that I think may block it. Those are the new song by Nishino Kana (who's still riding high from her last single, "Believe," which did INSANELY well), and the theme song to the new Miyazaki anime. I don't think either of those songs are good on their own, but one is from a very popular artist and the other is tied to a popular movie. That said, Applause sounds like a lot of the JPOP I listen to, so I could see it doing Top 3, but I'll be very pleasantly surprised if it goes #1! I'm Worried she is 6 There , Japan is A Big Market For GAGA . yes , japan is the latest country which put the single on sale.. when i checked the first time it wasn't even in top ten, some hours ago was 8 and now it's 6 but the market hasn't refreshed since a while.. She should have an iHeartRadio deal that has them play the song every hour on the hour on all of their Top 40 stations. We have three Top 40 stations here in the STL and one of them has yet to play the song even once. I'm not the only one from STL! :D BUT, I haven't heard anything on any of our stations, either. Oricon is definitely the most important, and she will suffer there because like someone else said, physical sales are still very big in Japan.
