The video release next week might be Applause's main advantage at the moment that and I think Gaga's performances help her sales more than Katy's do? So the VMAs might help Applause get to #1? I've heard this kind of thing happened with David Bowie's album as well, but... when a person wants both the single and the album, and they click pre-order to get it WITH the download of the single, that doesn't count toward her position on the ITUNES SINGLES CHARTS, because it counts toward the album charts instead, but still counts toward single sales for Billboard?
