Haus 152
How is it possible that Katy is at 1.000 and Gaga is at 0.5852 and Gaga is decling :'( I am pretty sure Applause will go #1 once the music video is out for sure!! Well until GaGa passes 0.999, Katy will remain at 1.000 because that's your score when you're #1.
Johnyo 3
it's 12:00am and ehh, even if it does decline, it'll just drop to #3. which is still amazing for it having leaked. plus the video is coming in 5 days. that will definitely bring it up. and the lyric video. which might also bring it up. and the vma performance the following week. But Katy's single leaked too and she is going strong at 1.000 while Gaga is decling. Applause is way better than Roar too. I don't know what is going on. I hope Gaga does something to promote it more. Well until GaGa passes 0.999, Katy will remain at 1.000 because that's your score when you're #1. Ohhhh I see. beepeepz 0
Gaga passed Katy VEVO count no she hasn't. Though youtube needs to step up its game I've listened to the song at least a billion times. Can't help being superficial like that. why does this even matter to me I don't know.

arfey2345 0
Relax, Monsters. "Applause" is not the instant day-of smash we expect from Gaga, but it has tremendous growing power...like most of Gaga's biggest hits, I was doubtful upon first listen and grew to love it over multiple. Everyone I have played it for has, on first listen, said they thought it sounded "thin and generic". BUT - they all have wanted to give it a second chance. Upon second/third listens, people keep singing it...but what's more than just singing it in their heads....they want to actually hear it again and again. The song is pop perfection in that it has multiple brain sucking hooks...(to-UCH, applause-plause, put your hands up, turn the lights down, the chord progressions)...it does NOT leave your head. But it's not INSTANTLY likable...it takes a couple listens. And radio is and always has been behind Gaga because she's so nice. For example - take Britney's "Hold it Against Me" - huge smash in the first week, crashed otherwise....because it relied on Britney nostalgia to sell it rather than actual pop hooks. "Till the World Ends" did better because it was slowly infections and had great hooks. One of my co-workers pointed out "Paparazzi" today...which he thought we terrible and generic upon first/second listen but the video drew him in ad the song stuck in his brain after that. "Applause" will rule. The song is a huge smash. It just needs time to nest. And the video will help too.
heavymlover 340
It's not a surprise that Gaga is bigger worldwide, whereas Katy is America's sweetheart along with Taylor Swift. Gaga is too ''weird'' and too controversial for the US, so I'm not really surprised that Katy's taking the lead. If Katy just filmed her video as some people are saying (I don't know if that's true), then that's the perfect time for Gaga to go #1, not to mention that Gaga is a better performer than Katy, so hopefully she'll be the most benefited after the VMA's (Considering that many people are tired of BL already). "growing" ? its declining!!!!!!! and honestly i dont hear any revolutionary sound in applause! i like dance in the dark, and Alejandro better. i dont say its not a good songs, but after listening to the DEMO of burqua, im sure gaga has some better songs on ARTPOP that could smash us

bobhabanai 0
I'm pretty sure Burqa wouldn't do any better than Applause the sound is so unorthodox! and the chord progression is heaven!
urigaga 0
I have faith Gaga will bring it with her vma performance. Consider she prepares months and months
nakedidea 745
This is too much craziness for day 1. I'm done. It's time to just enjoy the music and stop worrying about the #1s. If the song is that great, it will hit #1s naturally. If it doesn't, at least we have another great song by our lovely Lady .
