That will count as an "ARTPOP" Album Sale in November. The only way to get it to count as a sale for "Applause" is to buy the song separately. but like...that's so weird. Because when you "pre-order" all that happens is you get a discount on the album and a reminder email/auto download when it comes out. Something is definitely wrong with iTunes imo. Like I don't think the song is fully processed or something cus it doesn't show up in the purchased section if you have bought it and it doesn't show up when you search iTunes. Then the rest of the album price will be charged on 11/11. So I don't know how billboard handles that. they are so crazy about being precise...so idk if they would let an album pre-order count as both a single sale and an album sale later on. But maybe.
