True.

However, when her other tracks in Prism sound also the same as TD's, she might also struggle even if she is the priority of Capitol. Remember BTW didn't performed that well in the US even though Gaga is the biggest artist of Interscope.

Born This Way went double platinum in the US; what are you talking about? :wtf:

BTW and TD were head to head on sales until Katy re-released TD and reached 2.6M. While BTW is at 2.3M.

Gaga did not struggle.

If anyone struggled, it was Katy for not managing to sell at least 3 million with all of that promo for two years.

hmmm, just heard roar, interesting, very radio friendly (obvi)... i think everyone is gonna eat this single up. sadly, it will be all over radio. i think her Teenage Dream sound was better.

i hope it's not #1 for too long, if so, auplause will either be a climber or a bad romance situation.

Have you seen Blurred Lines performance on the charts? I bet the song will block Roar.

57 Enrique Iglesias - Turn the Night Up

Who would've thought Xtina's last lead-single will perform better than this

I predict Roar to have Die Young-like success. Radio smash (#1 on Pop/Radio), solid debut #'s [250K-350K], and about 2.5M-3M sold in the US.

Don't know about a #1 debut. I don't see it for her now. I don't really consider the song strong enough to have over 400K sales, which I what she would need for a #1. And her radio plays probably won't be enough to trump Thicke, so she might stall at #2 [further strengthening my DY comparison if this does happen].
