Whooo Lawd.

 

We're barely a day into the campaign and some people are on the brink of a meltdown already.

 

She's slaying Blurred Lines. As pie-kun said, it's a very unusual release situation. Coming off the era Katy had, and coming off the era Gaga had, I'll be thrilled if Gaga can get to #1 on iTunes at all.

 

To be honest, I don't think we'll have a clear idea about which single is going to have greater legs until a few days AFTER the VMAs. By that time, each song will have had time to register with the GP, and the tide from the VMAs (which will be the biggest promo either song gets) will have subsided and left its mark on their respective chart fates.

The US is struggling. I think it's the country with the GP that really stopped caring about her.  :cry:
