BTW: It could ruin her whole carreer, so............. LooooL at the fact that anyone here would even say that. If the very unlikely fact would be that she started off 'using us' for her career, I think she has by now proven/grown to be deeply sincere and devoted about 'our' rights and feelings, so that wouldn't make me love her any less. Don't think that's it... More hanging towards jealousy, greed and/or overstating the claimant's own importance (which could get blown out of proportion and go on to lead its own life in the media, thereby damaging her career). The fact that the judge agreed to keep it under wraps confirms that it's nothing too serious, as the rights of those affected would weigh heavier than a popstar's career in that case (to the legal system Gaga's merely a popstar). And the way she dressed - well, it was an over-night change. It just didn't come across as genuine to me, at all, The whole era was extremely shallow and the main goal was to be shocking for the sake of being shocking. Honestly, I don't think there were many things in the Fame era that I personally find artistic. And I am talking about the very beginning of her career, not post-Paparazzi-VMAs/pre-TFM. Really? I'm surprised by this. I think it was totally honest and totally intentional for her to come across this way during The Fame Era. She didn't know at the beginning of her career if portraying herself a certain way would work in her favour; it was either going to make her into something bigger, or fall flat on her ass not having achieved anything. It's why she took over and why it was so brilliant. That's why she is brilliant. Because she's really not herself at all. But at the same time, she is. TFM saw her become even more attention seeking in every aspect of her persona. BTW saw her become some else. Her accent as of late has been very forced. But that's what makes her genuine IMO. If you want to know (part of) her side of the story, she shared a lot of information in the book Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga. In the book, she claims that Gaga lied about a lot of things of her past, including her knowledge about art and pop culture, her supposed "gay friends", her interest in pop music,... I could imagine why any of her information would be career damaging. She claimed that the persona of Lady Gaga was mostly created by other people, including Fusari. How did I not know about this?
