Not the best. Visually there were some pretty good looks. But overall it looked super cheap, could have used a more elaborate 3d look for the set and the 3 tier stage. The is pretty flat. Love some of the looks and the purple laser 3 leg witch tunnel part was flawless. But other than that, it wasnt that powerful a video. There isnt any narrative, choreography is not iconic or standout.

 

My main issue is the set looking cheap and tacky. She should have used materials with more texture and character or used a real set and not cardboard looking backdrop props. And the framing of the video also is not very powerful also. The scenes that looked good was the stefani mattress scene + the purple laser tunnel scene.

I really like this video.  It's nice to look at, sort of funny yet serious at the same time.  I didn't like the dancing scenes very much, but meh.  It was simple yet strange.  

 

Edit:  Also, one of my favorite things about Gaga has always been that she doesn't try to look conventionally attractive.   That's something you can see in any video really, and in any media.  It's nice that she isn't afraid of looking ugly or not conventionally attractive.  Granted, she still get's naked, but it comes across that she actually wants to, and not for the sake of "oh man, have to have s-xy scene here!"

In regards to the set I think it was designed to look like that, it kind of fits with the 1920's style magician theme

It looks, in many ways, like her live shows; like a theatre production. I think that's intentional.

I think this "cheap-2D-prop"-effect is intended and its a stylistic device from Popart.

i expected the video to be more clean and colorful, its really good, but there is so much going on (has the judas mv feeling to it)

odnt attack me i love the song, but idk, the autfits are not jaw dropping and how the f fiber wig ended up being a tail? i dont know i really love the ending where it all goes twitchy, i was hoping its gonna be more colorful and trippy..i kind of see why roar and bl are destroying the charts..gaga can be seen as she's overtrying maybe?? i dont know how much she learned from last era...i hope for the best....and i actuallly just noticed the album price on itunes been reduced. and u ppl can say f the charts and stuff...but we all want as many singles, and for singles we need promo, no record selling=no promo=few singles

I know, it reminded me of the great gatsby gold frames. But they did it so much better. There was more depth and feel to it.
