It should be the album/single that sells the most+ most views on YT and most radioplay in the top 1 until someone passes it. It probably doesn't work like that though. It's obviously finished by now with artwork and hard copy distribution plans made (Japan release, etc). I mean as time gets closer to release, the 'package' or whatever you can call it - the item that has to be distributed/uploaded for download to the public for release will be in 'more' hands Soooooo in this day and age.. with the interwebs, something will crop up before release being the high profile artist she is. The Billboard Hot 100 (singles) is based on sales (iTunes mostly), radio airplay and streaming (YouTube, Spotify etc.) The Billboard 200 (albums) is simply based on sales.
