How many songs do you think we'll get on the record? How many songs do you guys want? If Gaga is still doing the volumes thing, I think she'd put 14 songs on each volume. I mean if Gaga wrote 50 songs on the album, and will probably be recording until October, we'd at least get half. But then there is the app. I really want two volumes because it could ease the amount of thirst between ARTPOP and her follow-up album. Like ARTPOP Vol. 1 (November 11, 2013) and then ARTPOP Vol. 2 (May or June 2014). 

 

And can somebody tell me where Gaga "apparently" said that there will not be two volumes. I've been lurking these threads for receipts but I've got nothing. So I'm still under the impression that the two volumes thing is still on. Or maybe not?? Someone enlighten meeeee

Do you think she will perform in the VMA?

Seeing her sketch, and exploring her thought provoking ideas, she might try something she has never done before.

Maybe part of her absence from Twitter is just part of her Idea for APPLAUSE or ARTPOP itself.

Maybe she wants to show the audience the existence of the fame and the applause in a parallel situation where the "icon" is not who they excpect it to be. Might be just an object that will be in the stage with the music playing or anything that isn't excpected. Maybe a critism on how fame can reach to everything and to everyone, sometimes with no even talent.

This might explain why she drew in her sketch only a glass ball with the crowd staring at it.

 

This is just a thought I have, maybe gone way too far.

But the perfomance she will have in the VMA cannot be so simple with the complexity of the hints and the info lately. It needs to be shocking in a different level.

Clearly ART is the female and POP is the male. She is personifying them. ART and POP are a married couple and **** and all that stuff. It's a real life relationship. POP wont die, but it cant live without ART.

Well ART+POP is not a must, but it surely is preferable.
In the past, ART worked alone and POP came with it in the journey.
Today, POP works alone while pushing ART from having the "spotlight".
I think she may want to unite ART and POP again with ARTPOP.

"A hybrid can withstand these things" - a couple/relationship is somewhat like a hybrid. Like a team of some sort.

Well I just meant that in the past, it was all about ART and making a statement. POP (which doesn't necessarily mean pop music but popular music in that time) could go "live" aside with ART but not take his place.

While today, its different. POP is in the spotlight, and there is rarely any ART in it.

What she might try to do is not something "new" but maybe make ART and POP unite again. In a shorter sentence, to make ART relevant again.

So it won't be only her comeback but also music's comeback.
