I swear if ****y perry steals top spot off gaga on the billboards im gonna go nuts. I want to say gaga's song was number 1 for this many weeks and i dont think some generic biatch should be first with a generic song.

I hope so much that Gaga's lead single will go towards Complextro.

It is time to show that she is not just a pop artist, but it's time to show that they bring pop music into a different direction. With fat Complextro beats they could put everything in a completely different direction. I mean, which popstar can unite pop with Complextro, without sounding boring or basic? I need monster sounds that makes her comeback explode like a time bomb! The whole world will see that the queen is back!

If the whole album concept sounds like this, I would die!

YES :legend:

Though I imagine the singles being more "soft" EDM something like this

Sexxx

praying for another Bey collab and an Azealia one

or maybe she could release the solo versions as singles first and then release the features as a remix to boost the single.

I've been saying this forever.

Lead Single: 3rd best on album, generates hype, success.

2nd single: best or 2nd best on album as it is used to generate long term album success.

3rd single: nobody expects amazing success because it's already on the album so it needs a usp, Telephone sequel or collaboration.... or both...

4th single is a difficult one and I'd pull a Perry: throw on a collaboration for the single version.

If they are spaced out properly, they would ensure long and steady album sales and generate success as a whole for the era.

There's no point putting out your best song when people are going to buy the release anyway. Put out the best one to drag in people that don't have the album yet.

About the 4th single assumption: NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.

I don't know if you even READ that thing they posted with the release date, but it states specifically that ART will be returning to POP. The problem that Gaga is underlining here is that pop has only been about the money and material. It's time pop suffered a Warholian revolution: returning the importance of art to its rightful owner. People should get out of their heads that Gaga's biggest concern is to top charts. Personally I don't think she gives two sh*ts about singles or sales or whatever. She wants you to concentrate on the purest form of the ART of the album. ART comes before POP. It's not POPART. It's ARTPOP.

She won't care if she'll be surpassed by her generic peers (note: nothing happened when Katy Perry surpassed her on Twitter). It's not what matters. What will matter this era is the relationship YOU will have with HER art. That is ALL. It's a disgrace people even care about charts. It goes against every value of ARTPOP.

Charts don't matter... that'll explain why she does so much promo then.

Sales don't matter... that'll explain why she pulls her budgets out of thin air.

Money doesn't matter... which is the reason a giant travelling transformer castle and angler fish come so cheap these days.

I think the schedule should be like this:

AUGUST 19th - 1st Single (A good song but not the best, VMA performance)

SEPTEMBER 1st - 1st Single's Music Video

OCTOBER 28th - 2nd Single (One of the best songs, will help to promote the album+live @ artRave)

NOVEMBER 12th - 2nd Single's Music Video

FEBRUARY 2nd - 3rd Single (Great song, Telephone continuation, performance at the Grammys)

FEBRUARY 25th - 3rd Single's Music Video

MAY 19th - 4th and last single (Best song on the album, released to promote the tour with the dates being released around the same time as the music video)

JUNE 10th - 4th Single's Music Video

And from July 1st on she'd start the ARTPOP Tour:

July - Early September: North America

September - Late October/Early November: Europe

November - December: Asia

Late January - Early March: Australia

April - Late June: South Africa/South America

But what if the first single flops and nobody buys the album? :awkney:

Then she will end up like Christina and the haters will make fun of it and this fanbase will have the biggest meltdown ever
