germagaga 22
Speaking of Opera, she did sound to me a little Theater singing it..... BUT SHES FCKING LADY GAGA!!!!!! Lmao Actually, she reminded me a lot of Whitney when she was singing this. Low larynx, cavernous vibrato, loud overall sound, etc. (it isn't fair to compare Gaga to Whitney because Whitney is pretty close to being incomparable as a singer but Gaga seemed to be emulating her style quite a bit)
Alcina Dimitrescu 1,157
I would have prefered that tbh I really hope she's singing the National Anthem!! "Tell me I'm your National Anthem...."
Mast 980
Exactly. This ain't no opera, Gaga can alter her vowels however the f*ck she wants. That she sustained multiple C#5's, and one of them was on the "ee" vowel which is the reputed "most difficult vowel to belt high on" is what impresses me who the hell is looking for vowel purity from Lady Gaga (none of the "great" singers Mast is comparing her to have never had moments of awkwardness with vowels, too, unless you're a trained opera singer, and even they aren't perfect all the time) Thanks for addressing me I wasn't comparing Gaga to anyone to begin with. I just don't like the sound of some of her vowels. They can come out very nasal.
BornToSlay 48
That was more amazing than I ever thought it would be.

Mast 980
She sustained multiple C#5's with vibrato, one being on the "ee" vowel she sang almost all of the song completely on key aca-friggin-pella take a seat Yeah, her vibrato is great; there's no doubt about that. However, you can tell that she's really pushing those C#5s, which isn't too bad considering she's a Mezzo-Soprano and shouldn't even be hitting that note, but it could easily strain her voice. Like I said, technique. Just because you can sin it, doesn't mean you should.

(befor she actualy sang it lol) So did she surprise you? or did she do like you thought she would?

(befor she actualy sang it lol) So did she surprise you? or did she do like you thought she would? I mean, I can tell she's been practicing, because her voice sounds much clearer. However, dem vowels. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be; I really expected more nasal vocals
