Klou 2,414
.so which do you think is a better move to promote Gaga's lead single? To start a radio deal on Wednesday so she can debut at #1 or start the radio deal at Monday so she can have a more secured climb and longer staying power at #1? I would prefer the radio deal starts on Wednesday, but labels don't do that. I don't know why, though.
Pop Art 1,773
Oh my God the single comes out on a Monday THANK YOU JESUS. Oh my God guys I can't believe this is happening. I've literally been shaking and crying all morning.
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
.No. Billboard counts radio airplay from Wednesday through Tuesday, so the high radio airplay THAT Monday and Tuesday would likely result in the song charting that very same week on airplay alone. Since sales is counted Monday through Sunday, the digital sales won't be counted until the following week. yeah but this time around we have straming wich is one of Gaga's powers remember the BTW audio on vevo was on way to be the first audio for song to hit 100 m in views and even if she has readio deal she will release audio to youtube and sale tohse copies if she is able to get around 30m views in the first week and like 40% of them are from US she'll have no problem hitting straight to #1 Does anyone know Teenage Dream's Worldwide sales? around 5.5 mil ....qweeen I have to head to work, but I think I'm going to start a new thread just showing everyone how smart Interscope was this time around. It's worth spreading the good word :) waitin 4 it It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely

Pop Art 1,773
So if Billboard counts sales from Monday through Sunday, and radio airplay from Wednesday through Tuesday, what's the period they count streaming for?

Dangerous Man 9,245
HITS: YOUR TOP 15: Jay-Z dominates next week's chart just as he's been ruling the news; bear in mind that the number below reflects sales via traditional physical and digital retail channels. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend: *Jay-Z (Roc Nation) 495-520k *Ciara (Epic) 55-60k J. Cole (Roc Nation/Columbia) 40-45k Kanye West (Roc-a-Fella/Def Jam/IDJ) 30-35k Wale (Atlantic) 27-30k Florida Georgia Line (Republic Nashville) 27-30k Daft Punk (Columbia) 21-24k *Skylar Grey (KidinaKorner/Interscope) 18-21k Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Macklemore) 18-21k Justin Timberlake (RCA) 17-20k Bruno Mars (Atlantic) 17-20k Blake Shelton (Warner Bros. Nashville) 15-18k Pitch Perfect (UMe) 15-18k Hunter Hayes (Atlantic) 14-17k #Debuts -- also this kind of update, is it still okay to post this when ARTPOP comes? I think it's likely + probably the app will count in some way as sales I wonder if that app being included as sales will cause a lot of controversy to Gaga.
