well, i guess Tunnel Vision is only for Europe after all

that makes a lot of sense considering his new album is supposed to be out at the end of September and "Mirrors" is still going strong on radio. It would have been a really dumb move for them to release another US single.

WHO THE **** IS BUYING CRUISE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU

I bought it :awkney: Guilty pleasure anthem. Plus, I live in the south. That s**t has been inescapable for about a year now.

"Lines" boasts a 70% lead in chart points (after leading by 56% last week).

I think it goes without saying that this is going to be #1 for a very, very long time.

The Stranger

I'm starting to get sick of it, but I still jam every once in a while.

I wonder if Robin could break the all-time record (Mariah's "One Sweet Day", 16 weeks)? 70% is MASSIVE, especially for a song that's been #1 for so long.

this is what, his fifth week to be? It's a long way to 16th..

Its sales refuse to slow down - it only dropped less than 1% this week - and it's still growing on radio. It's not finished on urban/urban AC/adult pop/several other formats, it's just started on adult contemporary, and even on the formats where it's hit #1 - pop, rhythmic, etc. - it continues to get bigger and bigger.

It's going to take a long time for a song to become big enough to overtake it. 16 weeks is definitely a possibility.

that is impressive indeed!

I just hope this song doesn't threaten Gaga's return(if she still plans the VMA's..)

If Gaga has a really big first week and enough airplay, "Blurred Lines" would have lost enough steam by then to give her at least one week at the top.

Even if she does get blocked, a #1 hit is short term and the long term is what's important. "Bad Romance" never made it to #1 and it was still huge.

Stop underestimating Gaga. She's still a powerful force when it comes to albums especially. If ARTPOP is as good as the haus claims she has nothing to fear.

She has everything to fear. A fourth major release is make or break for an artist. ARTPOP can be a masterpiece, but that doesn't guarantee that the GP will eat it up. Especially with their options literally ENDLESS in this fall season, if they don't like Gaga's album, they can just buy someone else's because SO many people are releasing this fall.

Especially with Eminem and 1D releasing. Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, J.Lo, Mariah, Miley and the like aren't a threat to her but those 2 are. They've proven that they can definitely get those rack in those first week sales and LONGEVITY.

My main concern is rooted in the release weeks. I don't want to see 2 big names facing off for the top spot. It's so messy.
