Dangerous Man

I hope Katy gets stuck at #2 :laughga:

The queen needs to be number 1 first, then Katy is next. :giggle:

CG had better longevity than BTW

TD had better longevity than BTW

Firework had better longevity than BTW

E.T had better longevity than BTW

(in the US, of course)

Katy is strong with single sales. Even Hot N Cold sold more than Bad Romance   (in the US)

but Gaga will get #1 anyways, there is no doubt. I know she will  :nails:

When you write songs with the though of making it a hit in mind, it won't be genuine and will obviously become generic radio candy. Of course Katy will smash with these hollow songs

This is the part of me that you'll never ever take away from me.

Ring a bell? :ohwell:

Katy had a tonne of momentum at the time and the song didn't even reach expectations. I remember people saying it was gonna break Born This Way's record :laughga:

Besides, you can't compare a song about LGBT rights to songs like ET. And NO, firework never mentioned anything anout gay people in its lyrics.

Oh and also,

Summer after highschool when we first met..... :lolgaga:

I think it's more accurate to compare Hot N Cold sales to Poker Face sales. Besides, if Katy releases first, she'll do good but the moment Gaga's lead single is released, it'll push Katy off the top spot. Gaga's like the queen of big debuts :classy: longevity though...

TEOG was very global, the problem started with You and I.

well 5M WW with 2.7 sold in the USA isn't really global.. Paparazzi wasn't really global either and It was still more global than TEOG..  I think TEOG with a great video would've become really huge hit WW tho..

i thought he has that A I every week? :flop: it doesnt matter the song is already sinking. im still thinking aviciis song is the real threat if it gets picked up by radio. just in the UK it has almost 80% lead :smh:

I'd love If this song start smashing in the USA It's great ... It won't cockblock Gaga tho..

YTD Best Selling Songs of 2013

#1 Thrift Shop 5,613,556

#2 Just Give Me a Reason 3,603,935

#3 When I Was Your Man 3,464,457

#4 Radioactive 3,430,105

#5 Stay 3,347,385

#6 Cruise 3,304,366

#7 Can't Hold Us 3,258,447.

#8 Blurred Lines 2,828,077

#9 Suit & Tie 2,603,828

#10 I Knew You Were Trouble 2,476,366.

It's reassuring that Gaga just has to sell over 2.5M with her lead before the year is over to reassure a Top 10 on the Billboard Year-End Chart.

It'd be refreshing after BTW's disappointing #18 on 2011's Year End Chart.

IKYWT and S&T basically have no morel life so hopefully she can overtake both :ohno:

Well by the time the year end come, I am sure that Gaga would've already sold more than 2.5 and also the last song in top 10 wouldn't be at 2.5 for sure ... so she definitely need more than 3M ... Katy will enter the top 10, Eminem may enter It, and etc..

I prefer Katy releasing her lead single before Gaga tho, this way Gaga will dethrone It, but also .. whoever releases first will get these huge radio updates cuz they'll be the first big star releasing since Taylor Swift last year :X  (not counting Rihanna and P!nk since Rihanna releases every year and P!nk isn't ... well that "exciting" to the public etc.. )

Gaga has proven longevity before with her singles, I know she can do it again. And yes, Gaga's debut will be higher

Ugh, screw Katy. :rip: It's really hard to support ALL artists' when all these people have decided to condense their releases in such a short time span. Britney and Beyonce are also rumored for November. Dear GOD have mercy. Gaga, Britney, Beyonce, possibly Rihanna, and even Katy ALL in ONE month. Let that sink in. I couldn't take it, someone would have to take the fall.

I also hope that Rihanna skips out this year and also Beyonce. Beyonce can sell her album at any time of the year and she's proven herself a strong album seller in the US so I really hope she just releases it in early 2014 so she has her time to shine. AS for Britney, she NEEDS the holiday sales. No doubt about it. So she's going to have to release soon after Gaga and still have enough time to capitalize completely on the holiday sales before the album starts to tumble since she won't promote much. Basically, sell at least 750K by the end of the year and then slowly get her way to Platinum in 2014, hopefully by March or April.
