The good thing about Blurred Lines getting great updates now (110 A.I atm) is that it will hopefully reach its peak even faster. Hopefully radio will be over it by the beginning of August and we can start seeing some small decreases.

I am not ready for a Tik Tok - Bad Romance chart performance again! I'll get really pressed! :nails:

That was a bit different because they were both increasing at the same time. Blurred Lines will be on its way out, so the lead single will still have a chance at #1 later if it doesn't get there initially.

this is definitely a good thing. Can you imagine if eventhough Blurred Lines is reducing and Gaga's single is increasing still Gaga won't be able to top Blurred Lines? :creepflop:

Omg it won't even chart

Yes. If generic Max Martin crap like that can slay, imagine Gaga

No they wont? It's the song of the summer.

So? The release of BTW showed that a Gaga lead single is an event. Tons of people are going to buy it, radio stations will add it in droves, the lyric video will get a massive amount of views. And by August 19, BL will be on its way out.

And even so, there can be two massive hit songs at one time. (i.e. Call Me Maybe and Someone That I Used to Know, Rolling in the Deep and Party Rock Anthem)

Well if Blurred lInes has like 240M AI when Gaga comes out and is still selling a bazillion, its not gonna be easy for her to overtake it. Regardless, i hope it begins falling soon.

I don't think we should be worried about Blurred Lines; do you remember when Born This Way (single) was released? The popularity bars were like

1. Born This Way - 1.00

2. (I don't remember) - 0.30

3. (whatever) - 0.28

...and I think the same will happen with the lead single. ESPECIALLY if it's perfect in every way, and there's a VMA performance of it   So the lead will definitely hit a #1. I am concerned, however, with what's coming after that... Will any other new single (Katy's, Britney's, Rhena's and eccetera) dethrone Gaga's? :gum:

It doesn't matter if BL has over 9000 AI, as long as he begins getting negative updates, then we're good. It's about that specific week, not the overall.

It has a month to die down so we shall see

I have this bad feeling that BL has still much potential though! :excited2:

She shouldn't with those sales, good airplay, and a massive lyric video :ohno:

A lyric video would be a great idea!

I'd rather have her lead single have longevity with a peak at #2 than to debut at #1, stay there for a few weeks and then drop like a stone.
