If you're talkin about JT yes he is releasing on 30th of September (the last day for the Grammys :rip: )

If he submits two albums for consideration then that increases Bruno's chances even more...

They haven't allowed pop stars to submit in this category for the last few years. They even moved LMFAO (who are a dance duo)'s "Sexy and I Know It" to the pop categories last year.

Justin is not a lock to win AOTY; he's not even a lock to win Best Pop Vocal Album.

Are we forgetting about Bruno Mars, who was nominated for 7 Grammys (and won one, against a post-humous MICHAEL JACKSON for that matter) before he ever released an album, and got ROTY/AOTY/SOTY nominations (Justin has never even been nominated in the lattermost category) when he did release his album?

Well, i'm here for this. :teehee:

but will.i.am is also a dance/electronic producer though? like David Guetta, Calvin, Zedd. etc...

I have a feeling Zedd will win that category though.

So, let's have so fun shall we?

MY predictions for lead single sales for each pop girl:

Gaga - 600K-650K. Maybe past 700K if the hype is big and the song is good and gets sufficient radio exposure.

Britney - 400K - 500K. She might outdo HIAM. :hor: She's been a lot more active this year than she was the year before HIAM came out. That could help her.

Katy: 200K - 300K. Maybe a bit past 300K at most.

Rihanna [if she releases]: Same as Katy.

The rest shall flop. :hor:

What Jude said. :teehee: will.i.am is not a pop girl so he might sneak in a nom.

Katy won't debute with bigger numbers than Gaga but her debute will be huge.. 400k at the very least

And Did Diamonds even hit number 1 on Itunes the week It was released ?  Rihanna's debutes are really weak ... 200-300k at most. ..

Rihanna has never had a song sell 300k in the first week. Her only really huge first week was "Umbrella" (277k in 2007, which was a record at the time). Her last two lead singles both sold under 150k, but to be fair, they didn't get a whole week of sales (not even 6 days).

edit forgot "Take a Bow" which was also very big (267k), but still not 300k.

I remember that Die young was released Tuesday and Diamonds Wednesday ... but still 150k is really low for Rhenna the Kween of Pahp

Rihanna doesn't have the kind of dedicated fanbase who's going to rush out and buy her music the first week, which is why she struggled for years to get a #1 album and has still never had a single debut at #1. She tends to do well over time, after most people have gotten a chance to become familiar with her new music.

I want Gaga to debut with over 1M and outsell Red's first week sales but also not pass Oops! 1.3M so Britney can keep the only record she has left.

Am conflicted. tumblr_m7wv9l5XZr1r17mw1.gif

Gaga isn't going to top a million again - she'll pull 750k tops - but Britney isn't going to hold the record for much longer.
