186. Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness

298. Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness (Ibiza Sessions 2013 Edit) [Cedric Gervais Remix]

And it's showing good sings on pop radio. Could this really be her breakout (radio) hit in the US?

I'm not really fan of the song before, I was more on Dark Paradise. But now that it's being picked-up. I'm starting to like it.

Yeah, I hope it'll be her first radio and H100 hit. :worship:

I don't think that it will but we shall see :haha:

When it hit #1 on H100, she'll earn more respect from other people, including you. :ARTPOP:

I don't care so much about no.1's, I just think that she doesn't have anything special, she is a creation of the industry that will fade away sooner or later. I also started loosing respect for Miley today, she said in a video on Billiboard that one of her biggest influences is Nicki Minaj. :wtf:

Summertime Sadness is my favorite Lana song, though I don't think it'll go anywhere. She just doesn't look like smashing in the US

Hopefully I'm proven wrong :flutter:

i don't expect Summertime Sadness to literally smash, but a top 40 hit is definitely possible. if only the remix would have been the one they released in Europe

Oh I see. It's just she don't appeal to you  even with her goddess beauty. :awesome:

Miley is fine though. I really want her to do urban stuff and hopefully it'll smash. Don't really root for Nicki but I guess if she's Miley new inspiration then I guess it's okay. However, if that means she can't get a #1 song from h100 like her, then it's another story. :wtf:

.That backing track is so loud I'd call that straight lip syncing :eww:

She needs the backing track to be that loud.. her vocals aren't that powerful.

Maybe she needs to focus on her dancing like Britney did in her early career to make more entertaining performances.

Can't believe they're promoting this song A YEAR later. I mean, when I first heard the whole Born to Die album I knew this song was one of the few that had a chance with the GP. Why Interscope took so long to realize how good this song was?

Most of her fans are probably tired of the song and/or already own it, and they for sure are looking for new material, so I'm guessing its success is depending on the GP from now and on.

She performed it without backing vocals on AMP Radio and did fine. The extremely loud backing vocals yesterday were just completely unnecessary.
