Treasure is the best example of payola we've gotten this year, lol. As soon as it stopped, the song stopped gaining on radio - and beforehand, it was gaining hugely. All of a sudden, it's getting miniscule updates. I just can't at how obvious his label makes it.  :smh: Watch it start free falling in the next week.

Dangerous Man

Treasure is now back at #8 combined both versions. Who cares about radios if the song is selling.

Really hoping for the voice impact.  :)

In more Britney news, she confirmed she's writing most of her next album. It's going to have some guitar on it and will be out THIS YEAR.

She said it'll be "cooler" than Ooh La La.

Too much unneeded autotune on Britney's song. :(

I'm really excited for her album, though

Bruno Mars doesn't need payola, especially coming off a hit as gigantic as "When I Was Your Man". What makes you think he's using it? Songs tend to slow down after getting a bunch of massive updates.

He is always like that, everyday he says the same thing about every Bruno singles. So it's better if we'll just ignore him.  :)

Sure, because most songs normally get 3+ million updates everyday, and then in the matter of a day start getting 0.1 million updates. That doesn't happen of audience reception is strong and the radio is playing the song because people actually want to hear it. That only happens when the payola stops coming in. And in Treasure's case, it looks like it stopped coming in at around 80 million. Defend the song all you want, but it's so obvious payola was in play here.

The song might continue to grow, but from here on out, it's going to require strong audience reception. If people aren't here for it, it'll fall. I'm really not trying to bash this song, because it has grown on me somewhat (still don't like the outdated feel to it, though). I'm not even trying to be a negative Nancy here. I'm just stating the obvious. I'm sorry if you're a Bruno stan and don't like what you're hearing.

Wow, she's WRITING it?? Go Britney! My anticipation for her next album just skyrocketed.

Just heard Ooh La La on the radio, and it doesn't sound half bad. My only problem is there's no build-up, and the song really doesn't go anywhere. But it has a great summery feel to it. And it's good to have a solo Britney song on the radio again. We only need Katy and Gaga to make this feel like 2011 again.
