After all, I remember Gaga once said, as a response to the controversial Amazon deal (which later on forced Billboard to change some of its chart rules), that if she'd have her way, she'd like to offer her digital music for free. And if she / her label does resort to discounts, at least in singles, I believe it'd actually benefit her a lot, chart-wise.Β Β If others could get their #1s with those tactics, I honestly see nothing wrong why she cannot.
