I find her really boring tbh...  :coffee:

Her face, music, everything... Just screams boring.

Yet you're in a thread for lorde, move on with your boring life and stop trying to stir up drama

For everyone praising ‘Royals’ as a profound statement about pop culture, Lorde  you know, the 16-year-old Kiwi who wrote and sings the song  actually disagrees.

“Writing ‘Royals’ was sort of like: ‘Why the f isn’t anyone talking about this?’†the New Zealand native told The Guardian (via NME). “I feel like I’m late to the party saying it, but actually I’m not, there’s nothing here, how is there nothing here?†she raved. “And so all these people started telling me that what I’m saying is, like, profound. Are you serious? No, it’s not. It’s hugely concerning for me.â€

Lorde does, however, insist that she’s being honest in her songwriting and that she and her pals like lower-caste lives over the rich rockstar bravado of which she sings. “We go to quite, like, grotty parties with super-weird punks,†the too-cool-for-school singer said. “Our lives aren’t super-aspirational to the pop world or anything.â€

She’s also honest in that she admits to being just as self-obsessed and narcissistic as others in her generation. “Everyone is so obsessed with how everything looks, how the party will look through a lens the next day. We all have Tumblr and we all have Instagram and everything,†she said. “People care so much about it because, now, any random can be famous on the internet if their world looks good on Tumblr. And so everyone at high school strives for this kind of aesthetic correctness. I do it as well, you know. I curate my life in a way. It’s always playing on my mind, kind of a love-hate relationship. I’m not one of those people who’s, like, ‘I wish Facebook wasn’t around,’ because, you know, it is what it is.â€

It's so true. It's not profound at all. It is just exactly what's on most of our minds when we hear songs like Tik Tok and Right Round! Not everything has to be about partying and money. The radio is even reflecting that, just look at Mackelmore! His songs are very simple and down to Earth, much like Royals is!
