I can't believe that this forum is reacting to Lorde this way for three reasons:

 

1) The title is just media sensationalism.  Lorde's actual comment isn't b---hy or pretentious at all.  She says that she doesn't like Taylor Swift because her beauty and lifestyle is completely unrealistic and unobtainable.  Lorde then goes on to say that this will never be her because she's not that good looking anyways.

But of course, Gagadaily users read the headline and glance at a few words and spend 13 pages talking about how much of a b---h Lorde is.

 

2) The majority of the people here have said worse things about Taylor Swift.  If I remember correctly, there was a popular thread a few months ago debating Taylor Swift.  Everyone there basically said the same thing that Lorde just said.  It's all okay to talk about how boring, basic, and a bad role model Taylor Swift is until Lorde says it.  If she says it, she's pretentious.  

 

3) Isn't this basically what Gaga did back in The Fame?  She was some 20 year old nobody one-hit-wonder fresh off the streets and began criticizing the entire pop music industry.
