I think her real mistake recently is not dissing other artists, but rather not realizing anything and everything she says will be repeated out of context and taken seriously. She's young and newly famous; she'll learn soon enough.

It comes off shocking because she directly gives remarks to the works of other artists. And I don't know if it's a good idea or not, err at least beneficial to her or not. If she continues with her stand on feminism, I wonder what would she say next towards the previous works of female pop stars such Gaga, Rihanna, Britney, Madonna and Katy Perry. Would she dare say a word?

idk. but if she DARES to say something about them I'm gonna drag her ass everytime i get the chance

thats true but what i mean is that the general public might end up disliking her persona but enjoying her music like with azealia

Oh, I see. Except that attitude is more from here, cuz the GP ain't never heard of Azealia.

First of all, Lorde did not ask Selena to promote her. Furthermore, just because Selena likes Lorde, it doesn't mean that Lorde has to like what Selena does or her music. Lorde is just expressing her honest opinion.

Too many opinions in a short period of time. Okay :flop:

Can someone update me, I've only read her mom and her complaining about Selena but apparently she has said things about other singers too :rip: can someone tell me what she said about who?

she's clearly irrelevant

#1 single in the usa Royals disagrees with your irrelevance :legend::troll:

tbh she might as well diss gaga, katy, madonna, rihanna, ke$ha, beyonce, miley, britney and every other pop star  who's made a song about love and a man. I understand and appreciate her views on feminism but this girl needs to fall head over heels in love and have her heart crushed and then she can understand.

She is getting really annoying. She needs to stop all this pretentious BS. There's nothing anti-woman about the song Come & Get It, no one would be saying it was Anti-Man if it was sung by a man.

Who in the hell is this Lorde person and why the hell are all these threads being made about what her opinions are about female celebrities, when she's clearly irrelevant?

She's irrelevant, yet her song is outselling Applause by miles? idgi

My only issue with all this is that her feminist critiques are always on songs that are such non-issues. Commenting on a song like Blurred Lines would definitely help with what she's trying to do. Come and Get It not so much. Isn't one of the things about feminism helping empower women to explore whatever s-xuality they feel most comfortable with without shame? If this is how Selena chooses to be viewed in her s-x/romantic life is that not her own free choice to make?

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

She said basically the same thing about Lana that she did here. She referred to lyrics "I will love you till the end of time I would wait a million years" in one of Lana songs and basically said it was anti-feminism and called her "uneducated".

What she doesn't understand about feminism, is feminism means that woman can be whoever they want to be and they are equal to men. She is slut shaming and against submissive women. If a woman wants to be submissive, that's her choice. Selena isn't relying on a man, but she wants him and will wait for him. Its her decision. Lorde isn't a parent, she's not ever 17.

Also, you guys REALLY need to learn what Shade is. Flat out stating an opinion isn't shade. Maybe everyone should stop trying to be a drag queen and just talk like themselves. Shade is subtle and b---hy, this is just an opinion...
