I like it. It kind of ended abruptly but I still think it was good, and I like the song way more than Royals - the latter's not a bad song but I still just can't get into it.

I'm finally starting to get her music a bit more now, and I like that she tried to release something a bit gritty with this, something not too flashy and with a good message. With all her talent she seems to be a pretty ordinary girl and I think releasing stuff like this is doing good for the kids' role model market.

She's got the worst attitude out of all the pop stars except for maybe Kanye. Do not like her at all

literally came here to say the exact same thing.

Hi Im Lorde I think Lana Del Rey's lyrics are submissive and s-xist and irrelevant, I LOVE KPOP THOUGH. ALL THOSE GIRLS BEING CONTROLLED BY BIG MEN IN SUITS PUMPING OUT MINDLESS HIT AFTER HIT TO EARN $$$ PLZ TEACH ME HOW TO DANCE

To be fair, she just commented that K-Pop songs’ melodies are more interesting..

??? I've heard a few K-pop songs (my friends are super into K-pop) and quite frankly a lot of it is really generic (as are most musical scenes, but for some reason a lot of people insist that K-pop is different and ahead of the curve musically without being able to point to anything that's different). "I Got A Boy" is interesting because of the sudden tempo and genre changes and I think they might do some interesting chords but the rest of the K-pop I've heard doesn't really sound all that different from any Western pop. Same with j-pop, they're all heavily influenced by Western pop and if I had to guess as to why someone would say they sound different musically it's probably because a lot of k-pop and j-pop is written by people who I imagine actually studied music and have more musical tools as opposed to Western pop where many songwriters are self taught and fairly limited... Which is a recent development, on average you'll probably find more pop songs from the 40s-70s featuring a wider harmonic palette than you will today. So idk, I really don't hear any significant difference between k-pop and pop.

Imagine if Lorde joins a k-pop girl group though. Just sayin'.
