Is the entire Hunger Games song 1:28, or is that just the preview? I'm really hoping it's a full length track.  Any info?

IK :flutter:

It is still so shocking to me that she is holding up so well against the likes of Lady Gaga, Miley and Katy!

This week Lorde's single Royals continued its reign at number one on the Billboard singles charts, where it has remained for the past eight weeks. This tenure puts the song in rarefied company: Since 2010 only five tracks have had a longer run at the top. Adele's popular song Rolling in the Deep – which reportedly pulled in US$500,000 from airplay royalties – only managed seven weeks at number one. "I get an update daily, territory by territory, how this stuff is selling. The American figures still shock me every morning," Maclachlan says. According to him, Royals has sold 7 million copies, and Lorde's debut album Pure Heroine another 800,000. These figures eclipse the sales of all music in New Zealand over the past 12 months. According to Sunday Star-Times calculations these sales – and accompanying radio play – have generated $4m in gross income for Lorde to date.

I actually can't believe she has been #1 for 9 weeks. I didn't even think she would ever break the top 20 :rip:

congratulations on knowing her before the success of Royals. Clap clap. Trophy 4 u.

She's amazing. I listen to her all the time. Is it bad that I find the rest of the tracks on Pure Heroine WAY better than Royals?

shut up it isn't like that. I was actually referring to the regulars of this thread who watched in disbelief as Royals rose to the top, it was exciting for us.

I'm exactly the same

I think it is because I have heard Royals so many times now :smh:

Still love the song but the rest of the album >>>>

oh btw added a poll  :)

the love club imo flows better, and royals fits with it better tbh. she should have  just added tennis court and buzzcut seasons to it and released it as her debut album.  :classy:

royals just doesnt fit with pure heroin. actually (yall might hate me for another lana comparison but) the love club ep is to "born to die" what pure heroin is to paradise. btd and love club ep are both smooth, clean, and hip hop inspired  and then paradise and ph are more instrumental, deep, church sounding etc..

Yeah I noticed. Is it possible to change Pure Heroin to Pure Heroine though?

I love both, and Bravado probably remains as my fave Lorde song but overall I think Pure Heroine is constructed far better and I adore every song.

YASS people can stay mad b/c Lorde is wreaking havoc on the charts. Ribs, Buzzcut Season, and EWTRTW are everything!
