I have a feeling she's not turning down Guetta because she thinks Calvin Harris or Zedd or Tiesto make better beats.

There are plenty of teenage indie hipster types about.

God, her stans are getting as pretentious as her.

This has nothing to do with feminism or gender. This has to do with acting in a professional manner. There's nothing wrong with adding constructive critiques about other artists, but when they become personal attacks on the artist (calling Lana "uneducated", this line about DG), it comes across as pretentious and rude.

That's especially true in this case. David is clearly a fan of hers and was simply trying to reach out to her to see if she would be interested in working together with him. Instead of politely declining the offer, she chose to attack him. Completely rude and uncalled for.

Azealia Banks:

"you have ugly children and a coke habit..... Shhhhhhh. #SHUTUP"."

"lol what a messy f*ggot you are"

"your a dumb b---h. And you can't rap. I'll sit on your face... Fall back slut."

"lol funk flex is a butch queen"

"lol u old dusty fat ****"

Lorde:

"She’s great, but I listened to that Lana Del Rey record and the whole time I was just thinking it’s so unhealthy for young girls to be listening to, you know: “I’m nothing without you.†This sort of shirt-tugging, desperate, don’t leave me stuff. That’s not a good thing for young girls, even young people, to hear."

“Taylor Swift is so flawless, and so unattainable, and I don’t think it’s breeding anything good in young girls. ‘I’m never going to be like Taylor Swift, why can’t I be as pretty as Lorde?’ That’s f*cking bullsh*t.â€

"I love pop music on a sonic level, but I'm a feminist and the theme of her song [Come & Get It] is, 'When you're ready come and get it from me.' I'm sick of women being portrayed this way."

I really don't get the similarity between the two.

First the only people bringing "feminism" or "gender" into this thread are people like you. Second, she never called Lana uneducated and she said this about David Guetta privately to her manager and the interviewer put it in the piece

And don't exaggerate what she said. Her manager told her David wanted to work with her and she said, to her manager, "No, f*ck no". She hardly attacked him.

Did she say that she didnt want to work with Guetta bc of that?

Florence wasn't too good to get a UK #1 with Calvin Harris.

There is nothing anti-feminist about Guetta's beats.

Then that's her own fault. If the interviewer was sitting across from her, she should have had better sense than to say something like that. At the very least, she could have asked the interviewer to not publish that part.

It doesn't matter anyways, it's out there now that she acted completely inappropriately to someone who was paying her a compliment.

Honestly I think there has been a lot of media hype around

"OMG CHECK DIS OUT LORDE IS F*CKING ATTACKING PEOPLE LOL"

And nobody is actually paying attention to what she is saying :rip:
