  1. 1. What kind of movies do you like most?

Featured Posts

Yes, I know haha. I was just poiting out how nowadays movies are relying to much on CG graphics. And it's kind of annoying, because it still isn't perfect, you can tell when it's a computer generated scene, specially when they overuse it... It kind of loses the magic to me, I need to believe that's real to feel it

I agree with you on the overuse of CGI. It looks amazing but in a couple of years it will look dated. For example, the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Most creatures like the orcs and all the baddies were done by make-up and they still look great to this day. Then you get the oliphaunts (the big elephants thingies) and they look horrible as they were all CGI especially when Legolas is killing one :smh: And now the Hobbit is all CGI and I'm afraid it will look horrible in a few years :emo:

After the trailers for Captain America and Days of Future Past, this looks like the weakest of the next 3 super hero movies

So unless Guardians of the Galaxy fails (It won't, lol) this looks to be the worst super hero movie of 2014.

Also, using Ultimate Electro is awful.

I'm so excited for new X-Men but hate that Wolverine is always the main character :rip:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is overrated imo. It's great and I enjoy it a lot but it's not THAT better than other superhero movies. My opinion, of course.

Yeah, Wolverine being a main again bugs me to tears, but at least we get more Fassbender being a badass.

As for the MCU, its a little overrated, but after how good Thor 2 was (And I liked Iron Man 3, despite its oversensational hate by a ton of people) and how great the first Cap was, I'm really excited for Winder Soldier (Plus he is one of my more favorite heroes and arcs, lol).

I'm delusional in wishing for a Storm movie (Halle Berry or not given the hate she gets). Storm was my favourite character when watching the 90s animated series

I have yet to see Thor 2 I liked IM3 but hated hated HAAATED IM2. Captain America was a pleasant surprise hopefully

CA 2 will be just as good or better.

I've known it was two parts for the longest time... But I really think they should have made the first movie two parts instead. The Hunger Games is my favorite book of the series and the film is extremely lackluster in comparison... And Mockingjay is my least favorite book.

I love that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was split into two parts. It made the film adaptation so much better... But I hate that it started this horrible trend. All of the other splits that have been done are completely unnecessary. Especially the 3 part Hobbit. Just no.

Eh, it looks cool but not really great to me. It won't be better than Spider-man 2. It seems they may already be making the same mistake they did with Spider-man 3 by putting too many villains in at once. And I could take or leave them bringing back the Goblin - the original suit may have been a bit cheesy but imo Willem Defoe portrayed him brilliantly so I'm totally not into the rehash, though I'm sure it'll still be good. Same with Harry, though Dehaan is good. The best part of this for me will probably be Jamie Foxx and the visually well-done action sequences, and just the fact that I love Spider-man. No offense to Andrew or any of the other cast or people who worked on it, I'm sure they worked hard but these films just haven't and probably won't live up to the originals for me. They made him more relatable imo. And I guess it's just my nostalgia at work too.

Gal Gadot is your new Wonder Woman.

“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe,†director Zack Snyder said of the casting. “Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.â€

Gadot will of course join Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman in the film, which is a sequel to Man of Steel but is also being designed to broaden the DC movie universe.

This was announced yesterday but I couldn't find a thread and thought it was worth mentioning. Wonder Woman hasn't appeared onscreen in over four decades, so this is an exciting development for these movies and those who've been anxious for a real female superhero. Anyone else here interested in how this'll turn out?

YES!

Haha I'm excited too.

wasn't megan fox going to play wonder woman ?

Hmm, I don't know. I feel like that was a rumor going around when the WW movie was being speculated about. I remember hearing that before.

2 villains is kind of the limit for superhero movies. Sometimes it works, but it often becomes muddled. Rhino and Electro don't seem like a good fit for an on screen duo. Joker and Two Face worked out flawlessly because their characters complement each other (and the hogpodge of villains in Dark Knight Rises also worked), but these two don't feel that way with me.

I really hope this is good because the trailer has me hyped! But I'm more excited for Captain America and X-Men.

Wonder Woman is amazing, but they better bring the Flash in at some point too.

According to this article, they may be bringing him in in this film too. It's all very exciting, but seems a bit like overkill considering it's a Superman film, and this is his first sequel for decades. But I guess we'll see later.
