As of late, New York leftists want accountability and fiscal responsibility while California (and west coast in general) leftists throw money blindly at everything and everyone. Think the recent high speed rail scandal and the millions missing that was meant to go towards helping the homeless crisis.

I hate Schumer and I don't trust Jefferies. But like...who's the alternative with a ready to go coalition of democratic politicians in the respective chamber to back them? Feel like we're risking the same mistake the Republicans made at the start of the 2022 congress where they wasted weeks of their majority fighting over who's in charge and nearly did the same in 2024. There's a clear focus among the newly elects in both chambers to come in and hit the ground running with legislation (which has outdide backing from 2028 hopefuls as well) and the Oversight Chair has already planned out their attack investigations into Trump and his cronies. I think if the progressives tank, or at least stall, Schumer. It makes him way more likely to survive a primary fight in 2028. And that needs to be the end goal. Some are voting Van Hollen for Senate leader. House not sure… but honestly with both their approvals in the teens, just about any Dem who isn’t their close ally can do. It’s just… the media is so drama hungry. I hate them so much. Even if they walk, chew gum and clap their asses at the same time (House trials, new leader, govern WITH trump on affordability), the media will NEVER focus on material boosts and highlight the drama, making it seem like Dems are in disarray. But yeah Schumer and Jeffries - independent of trash coverage bias - are just terrible. If anything, I hope this grassroots petition starts the ball rolling. I just worry that without a solid plan, doing this in January is giving the media the very story we all rightly don't want them to have. Tea, but my number one pet peeve is when people treat NYC as a communist soviet state as if they didn’t elect Billionaire Bloomberg and Rudy Giuliani as mayor. Oh and btw, the fascist in office was born and raised there. NYC is just like any other city in terms of how normal people just wanna thrive. AOC and Zohran’s affordability agenda can work anywhere - but “moderates” cape behind their purple states as an excuse for their millionaire/billionaire donors. We need to move past left v. right and lock in on up v. down like the good old FDR days. and of course yes a woman can win as president idc idc idc Claudia Sheinbaum is THE example Mexicans make Hillbillies look like woke baristas in comparison lmao Edited yesterday at 08:58 AM by StarstruckIllusion

I think there’s still time to create a plan. A petition like this will hopefully light some asses. I’ll be keeping tabs on this subject bc it’ll be an absolute disaster if either of them are there to **** up the 2028 bluenami: full effect with their fecklessness and negative charisma

I don't think there's the strength of numbers to make Schumer/Jeffries uneelectable. And I hope its something that can be achieved via back room deals before January. A floor fight will kill 2028 before we even start 2027. The gays know how to party

This new CNN clip is… utter trash?? SEE what I mean about drama baiting? Dems were finally united for 2 seconds and here is CNN already trying to stoke division between the fresh meat.
