He can still finish out his term as president- but he likely won’t have much power anymore because everything he WANTS to do has to get approved by mostly democrats now He will be vetoing the absolute sh*t out of everything now until he leaves and try and enforce executive orders. I hope once he’s officially a regular citizen again they arrest his ass.

He won't veto anything that is popular with the public even if the Republican legislators hate it because he's obsessed with legacy. Look at his weird relationship with Mamdani. Mamdani is popular so Trump likes him and want to be seen with him. When Mamdani asks for something from the federal level, Trump provides it more often than not. Because someone popular asked for it. If you get Jon Ossoff to deliver every bill passed to the Resolution desk, Trump will pass it every time while commenting on how big his ass is. PornoDanceFight 2,820
I really didn't want to give myself false hope but wow...I really can't believe we have BOTH chambers. I need investigations and indictments against them all within the first week of their inaugural term.

I kinda have irrational hope that this is the beginning of the end for maga, in the sense that once the tide turns against the fascists and the bubble bursts, they turn to infighting and "I never really was that bad" and "I never really wanted those things to happen." Like in a certain European country 80 years ago.
MOT 3,716
If you are a Republican Senator who is up for re-election in 2028, you are surveying the wreckage now and thinking to yourself if I ran for re-election next week I would lose, and if Trump stays for another two years he will only make things worse. With that in mind is there any chance that Republicans in the Senate will convict Trump in the event of an impeachment trial ? The Dems have plenty to impeach him on and a Republican can easily justify voting to convict, as in 'I am shocked and stunned by the overwhelming nature of the evidence etc'. Or is that not realistic ?

Hell, JD Vance's entire pitch is "hey, lets use the next 2 years to kick these dipshits out of the republican party" in that post about how/why they lost. He's already got the SCOTUS ruling giving him immunity, he just needs to sign a pardon for his family (like Biden did) and **** off if they go near him. For now though, the first target with be Kegsbreath. The gays know how to party

Bronco 29,642
For anyone wanting to start watching the early jostling of the pack for 2028. Someone has built a site that is tracking every race (130) that Buttigieg endorsed and campaigned in (he visited 38 states this cycle). https://pete-2026-endorsement-scorecard.brokenfl.chatgpt.site/ So far, 77 are across the line. Only 8 have confirmed to have lost. A 90% win rate among the decided races atm. The gays know how to party
