How could we possibly know that line is false just smile :) ♡🦋

Robo Ga 15,673
I think when she started dressing down for Joanne and being papped in jeans, sweatpants etc. it was a "contradiction" for me initially because she had said before how she lives and breathes being Gaga, that she would rather die than her fans see her without a pair of heels on, etc. But then I realized it was a maturing, and her being finally able to separate her private life from the stage, so I ultimately grew to see it as a healthy evolution rather than a contradiction. I think the contradiction I struggle with the most these days is her seemingly apolitical stance during a very dark time for the world. I like to believe she will speak out more in the future but some extremely serious major world events have occurred the past few years, and the last true political stance she took was supporting the Kamala campaign. I think that reconciling her current public persona (strictly entertainment and business venture focused) with her past persona as a very politically, culturally and socially outspoken musician, is a major contradiction and one that could affect her legacy going forward if she chooses to stay silent on political issues and injustice. 🤖⚡️ 2 2

The thing with her seeming apolitical is that, now she’s more private than ever she could easily be doing things behind the scenes we never know about. She’s proven herself as a good person. Nuance tells us that she absolutely is against the genocide. For example, we had no idea she was politically active and donating behind the scenes for several elections, nor the fact that the BTWF had raised over $6m of donations for charities worldwide UNTIL the 2020 cyber hack of her legal firm (which is where we found out about all her contracts and finances). We also didn’t know she was involved in Kesha’s trial until the documents from that trial leaked either. Where she was directly opposed to Katy Perry who was brought in to defend Luke and Gaga was on Kesha’s side. Which explains why Gaga ignores that woman. 6

I totally agree with what you're saying, and I do believe she is not apolotical behind the scenes, especially because I know she still does work with her foundation etc. But what I mean is that publicly her persona as an outspoken political and human rights advocate has changed in the post-Biden admin era. I think that, in and of itself, is a contradiction with her past as someone who was blatantly outspoken about her positions both during her live performances, online and in interviews previously. I totally get she's a more private person now in many ways and not faulting her for that. I just think it's contradictory in some ways when she was positioned so different before in terms of her public stance on various issues. 🤖⚡️ 3

We already have members on here making antisemitic remarks about her fiancé on the daily and speaking out means her child will be out in jeopardy now so o think she’ll just stay quiet. And as someone who was once a massively outspoken anarchist—I’ve also slowed down and became so blazé with politics because it’s just became like stan wars now. 4

Delulu Rogers 7,695
How has nobody mentioned her perfumes? She discontinued products that everyone loved and were selling really well and went on a whole year and a half of “I don’t want to sell things, I’m not that type of celebrity etc” to having 2 years of non stop ads, sponsorships, and pushing things nobody wanted her to. And it didn’t stop until it all blew up in her face with the nurtec fiasco. Also, another contraction was how much she hated Hollywood and celebrity culture only to move to Hollywood and take part in said celebrity culture 2

llemesm 2,273
well she says she respects animal rights, but when criticized for wearing fur, she defended it as art and said she'd bend her morals for the right piece. It's an interesting contradiction between her stated values and her choices. https://abcnews.com/blogs/entertainment/2012/08/lady-gaga-defends-wearing-fur?
