How sad. Is she okay? I couldn’t catch her in time. In fact, I haven’t listened of her since “Flowers.” Wishing her all the best in her recovery tho. xo

In comparison, Love For Sale fell from #8 to #39 in the second week.

This is bad, but I think her ultimate want was getting the #1 first week

So she'd get the headlines and first week sales are the ones that are usually remembered years ahead

Probably it'll be out of charts next week though :sis:

Its crazy. When you look up the Album on Wikipedia for example, it presents it to you as a #1 album. The Fame Monster is not. Peaks really dont matter in some situations

well yes, all her fans bought all the physical variants in week 1 and there are few actual listeners, sadly

I ordered two variants from her US store to forward them to Germany. Maybe if they had shipped them by now it wouldn't have fallen so far :noparty:

She has her Hollywood Bowl shows in two weeks, which might give her another boost. And if the Super Bowl halftime Show rumours are true, she will be fine, I guess

tbh I prefer this, than fans and artists obsessed with charts and going with all the strategies and the math to occupy the #1 spot for weeks..

Charts are irrelevant, variants are useless, and now the world has more plastic that no one knows wtf to do with it.. her variants will go to the clearance bin next week.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I just take no joy in discussing charts anymore. It has sucked all life out of music.

I’m just glad Miley made an album that she wanted to make and put it out into the world.

I don’t care anymore if something is a mega smash. To me, getting art that you believe in out into the world is the success.

Especially in an era where AI music is charting, numbers just don’t matter to me anymore. Artists making art with their own hands, hearts, and minds does. And I’m happy for Miley getting the art she made out into the world no matter what.
