This artificiality of Chromatica is so intentional - or rather it is the result of two extremes, sadness wrapped in bright production. It covers the pain. The lyrics are sad and the sound is so lively - this contrast makes Chromatica unique. Personally, i don't need drums on Chromatica, it's an electronic album. An electronic album that deals with soul pain, that's real art.
