Do I wish she would speak in support of Palestine? Yes.

Do I think haters are loving to take any chance to call her a Zionist for the most absurd reasons? Absolutely.

I do believe if she spoke she would say she wishes for peace on both sides and for war to end, but the internet would NOT like that. Would she call it genocide? Probably not.

I like to think if I was famous, I would without a doubt call for Free Palestine and call it for what it is: A genocide. But I understand why she wants to stay neutral and not offend anybody. I also understand thet many people are upset because she used to be very vocal about issues, but at the same time it is insane how people are going so hard at her, a celebrity who has actually used her career many times to defend the LGBTQ+, while some celebrities have been silent about ALL issues and don't get any flack.

At the end of the day, social media is not a true reflection of real life. She's not getting true pushback from the general public, but if she says anything slightly controversial, she might end up getting real flack.

The insinuation that Outer Bio is getting their skin from Palestinian victims is INSANE. Unfortunately, our world is messed up enough that it's not an impossible situation, but that is not the kind of accusation to make without evidence.

The surrogacy controversy is even worse because we don't even KNOW the details. What if she actually adopted? (Then the bar would be raised and people would be complaining that she adpoted a baby instead of a young child). What if a family member carried the baby for her? It's a very intricate situation. Also, plenty of celebrities have used surrogacy and not many people cared, but because it's Gaga, of course people cease the opportunity to use serious discussions as stan twitter arguments.

as I keep saying, her career is basically over she just doesn't know it yet because people are so mad about this topic you simply can not stay silent.

Gaga making a statement about Israel/Palestine would be like Europe’s sanctions on Russia: useless, except they made us poorer. 🤷‍♂️

I’m sorry, but this is the reality. And saying that doesn’t mean we agree with or condone the horrific things that are happening.

Not publicly taking a stand on something doesn’t necessarily mean you’re against it, that you don’t care, or that you agree with what’s happening. Sometimes, it’s simply the radical acceptance of how little power you actually have to change it.

The people actually making these decisions, whether it’s Trump, Putin, or other political leaders, are not going to change course because a pop star posted something on Instagram.

It’s just the harsh truth

Ehh they're weird and chronically online. The vast majority of people have no issues with her outside the usual "she's kind of weird but I did love her and Bradley Cooper in that one movie. Oh and her and Bruno Mars made a song that was pretty good" :icant:

And at the end of the day, those folks leaving weird comments aren't the ones paying the bills. It's the 99% of people who just listen to music because they like music.

Also, are these people opening their mouthes for the Congo or any other situations for countries in Africa ?

Well, I could see that double standards of these internet people. I tried to initiate conversation about recent Sudanese genocide funded by UAE but no one in GagaDaily was really interested in looking more into this, including those who are vocal about Palestine. Ironically, no one is mad about Gaga having a concert in Dubai in 2014 the way how they're mad about her having a concert in Israel the same year. No one is asking why Gaga didn't speak about Rwandan genocide or Sudanese genocide, at least not yet.

I realised most internet people are just performative will only talk about trendy topics. Perhaps Sudan and Rwanda are not as trendy enough as Uyghurs or Palestine. Some just want their favourite celebrities to talk about Palestine so that they can portray that their fav is in the right side of history, which itself is sick and inconsiderate of Palestinian people.

Deep inside, I'd be happier for Gaga if she speaks in support of Palestine in her own terms, rather than she being forced to speak on that sounding like a performative gesture which doesn't have any real world outcomes whatsoever, there by diluting the gravity of their situation.

Yeah bc she de-fanged her politics a lot at a time when people are giving extra scrutiny in America to famous people’s politics.

I also do think to some degree it’s influenced by people never really getting to punch her for morality reasons and some have been sooo wanting to bc stan wars and general loathing and envy. So it’s some of both, to me.

but I liked what admin said in their pitchfork interview where they flatly said, no, I’m not interested in hearing about her politics. I’m here for news of the next music drop, which feels healthier and more genuinely productive to life. I do wish she’d remain more strident in the issues she *has championed in the past but eh my life is bigger than the world of Ga

Well, there's something to be said about trying to fight every fight at all times and how it doesn't work. That's the only reason I'm pretty ok with Gaga being largely silent on the topic. She's always been about domestic, LGBTQ, and women's rights issues. If she doesn't want to expand beyond that, I can accept that.

Anyway, a lot of people care about the genocide in Gaza mostly 'cause it's our own politicians enabling it and our tax dollars paying for it.  Not that being "trendy" isn't part of it, it's just that we're literally involved in perpetuating it against our will. We also have a real opportunity to put a stop to it 'cause Israel depends on unconditional support that we can either render conditional through some choice elections or snatch away entirely.

Though, I have to admit that may also be true of the other causes you mentioned. Idk enough about them, honestly.

My opinion may be a little controversial, but I lately I kinda understand why the Mayhem Tour felt like some kind of farewell while she was also saying she would still be making music. I think she somehow knew what she was risking with all the decisions she is making. I don't know what the next era will be like or how it will develop, but it's imposible to deny that she's in a gray zone for a lot of fans.

Well good less people to fight with for tickets:kiss:

But seriously, as a new mom politics is the last thing on her mind. She has to think of how her words can impact her child's safety.
