As for the Rwandan genocide, unless I'm missing a new update or outbreak- why would Gaga comment about a genocide from 1994? Are you meaning the ongoing paramilitary campaigns in the DR by M23?

I realised most internet people are just performative will only talk about trendy topics. Perhaps Sudan and Rwanda are not as trendy enough as Uyghurs or Palestine. Some just want their favourite celebrities to talk about Palestine so that they can portray that their fav is in the right side of history, which itself is sick and inconsiderate of Palestinian people. 

Deep inside, I'd be happier for Gaga if she speaks in support of Palestine in her own terms, rather than she being forced to speak on that sounding like a performative gesture which doesn't have any real world outcomes whatsoever, there by diluting the gravity of their situation.

Gaga just lunched Haus Labs products in UAE but no one talk about it... Sudan deserves visibility aswell. But politicians, stars, lobbies don’t see how they can turn it into a profitable occasion, so y’all are dead silent about Africa's situations.

And it’s not even about celebrities... We on our scale can do stuffs. I donated when there were earthquakes in the East of Turkiye. It deeply affected me because it’s from where I'm from and people are poor there.

I don’t care if celebs fund help or not, it’s about being a community, not about being internet addicts to dramas.

Don't sit around bitching no one's talking about something you care about when they talk about something they care about when you aren't bringing it up unless it can be used against other people.

I didn't form a thread. But I did comment about Sudan in a couple of threads but the conversation didn't go much further and one of the threads had also disappeared. I don't know if it was deleted.

About Rwanda, I didn't expect Gaga to comment on that. Yeah the genocide happened in 1990s, but there was a recent update a couple of years ago about mass graves of thousands of victims had been unearthed so it threw some light in recent news that's why I made a mention about it.

Maybe we should also talk about what's happening in Congo which is ongoing now.

the people that drags gaga for not speaking up on Palestine are the same that stayed silent about the awful genocide in Sudan and Congo, the camps in North Korea, the oppression of Iranian people by the IRGC etc… some of these people are on this very site

I mean look at gillian anderson - she posted a video about Sudan and got dragged to the bone bc she didn’t post about Palestine

What I say is not "Attack Gaga for this". But I point out how deception is targeting only some particular causes.

I don’t care about celebs political opinions. But I detest hypocritic behaviours.

As I said, for the East-side of Turkey I participated in donations. Because it affects me deeply, since I have family there. I couldn’t care less about celebs tweets or anything like that.

She’s unlikely to say anything at this point. If that really upsets you as a fan then honestly it’s better to step away and I mean that with kindness. A lot of people are winding themselves up because they want her to be someone she isn’t, or do things that she probably won’t. 
Ultimately she’s a multi-millionaire privileged white American woman. I do believe she is a good person, but even good people don’t always do the right thing. Getting hung up on that or worrying about what other people think about her or her being “cancelled” isn’t worth it.

(The surrogacy thing I won’t even address properly because that drama is absolutely ridiculous, just people using a new mom and her infant for moral grandstanding.)
