I'm honestly not seeing it. In circles where people know of all she does, they might but the average Joe doesn't know what she's investing in. The public has become so disillusioned regarding celebrities lately that I don't think we have to worry about how her image would get affected. Most of the public separate music from the artist. I also don't think the majority of the public want or need celebrities to speak about political issues and wars. It's understood that even with their money and power, they can't change what's happening so for them to comment on it tends to be viewed as performative these days. You should never feel pressured to view your thoughts on serious issues if doing so doesn't make you comfortable. I'm sure Gaga's the "do good quietly" type. Her child is also her #1 priority now and if you ask any new mothers, the last thing they're thinking about is politics. Gaga doesn't owe us her opinion. You have to the right to speak as much as to remain silent. I'm sure the public will go easier on her now she's got a baby and hasn't tried to be provocative for a long time now.

Have people turned on her? Like even Acid Betty and MAX (two queens from Drag Race) were calling her out and they even made speculations about where the skin from Outer Bio was coming from saying it had Israeli investors. I like many fans wish she would speak out but how come no other public figure who’s been silent is not getting enough hate? 
 

*EDIT* I just also want to clarify Gaga is not a victim in regards to the genocide and I am not trying to deflect on the extremely serious issue.

What are those Drag Race people whining about? Never even heard of them. There's always some vindictiveness from certain people when it comes to Gaga. Even during Born This Way there were complaints about how Gaga was "using the gay community". We all know the truth however, people just like to criticize strong female artists.

There's not one comment-section under Gaga content without folks saying "she's a Zionist, she dgaf about Palestinian" etc so yeah it may be an online thing now but that's how it starts.

It clearly takes a toll on her image to not say much aside fan-submitted messages on her tour screens and invitating a Palestinian poet through her foundation.

Since these ppl have an intelligence adapted for the surface level, they're too much emotional and they forget easily for what they stand... They will forget. But even if they don’t forget, boo what a loss in our fanbase... 

Also, are these people opening their mouthes for the Congo or any other situations for countries in Africa ?

They cry for Ughurs, they cry for Palestinians, they cry for Ukrainians... But they never had a meltdown over one of the terrific situations in Africa. Why ? Because mainstream medias don’t speak about it, and because it’s not in their attention field, they ignore it. But don’t worry they will be the first in line to glaze Afro-Americans and the little things they know on Afro-community...

I’m bummed she never said anything, and I don’t think a notes app explanation will do anything to help her. 

It sucks bc this is the first time she’s been in a controversy I cant really defend, and I’m talking like her whole career.

But I’m fine as long as she doesn’t pull a P!nk… and tbh I really don’t see her doing that. 

It’s all performative anyway. Celebs don’t need to post on their stories - we need politicians to step up.

Point blank it is ****ed up and wrong she hasn’t said anything. She still gives her opinions about other issues and I disagree with everyone on here saying it’s fine if she says nothing.

 

She does need to come out for Free Palestine at some point. I believe it’s Michael though stopping her. I hate to say it but I think she just is in a new marriage and wants to keep the peace and it’s an agreement to not talk about that too much. 
 

On the other hand, the accusations of her actually being Zionist are whack and people chronically online need to understand why it’s dangerous to just blindly lump everyone into one category. Because then you miss the actual dangerous ones. 
 

Gaga is not Zionist. She ultimately is someone who has white privilege and doesn’t want to be confrontational and for a variety of personal and public reasons she has gathered at this point to not say anything. It is cowardice- and if she doesn’t speak up soon history will write this moment as a weak spot for her and it will diminish her character- but she is not evil and I don’t think she is on the side of the state of Israel because she wore a Star of David jacket and ignored a warning when she performed in Tel Aviv 13 years ago mid ARTPOP era.

I mean it's true she hasn't said anything about the genocide and was privileged enough to obtain a surrogate (has this been confirmed?) ... Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if they don't like it, they don't like it. You can't please everyone. But also as a fan you should be able to hold space for negativity - it's just part of life. Celebrities aren't gods or perfect. They are real humans with real limitations and it's ok if some people point that out. It's not that deep....

Urging celebrities to say something about a situation where there's nothing we can do to stop the powerful monsters is just an illusion of the mind to mitigate the feeling of powerlessness. If you imagine you're a satellite, you're watching earth in time lapse, to your right: palestinian people are suffering since 1948, then the violence is amped up to the extreme and bombs are dropping, rescue and help is squashed by Israel and war crimes are commited every day, and to your left: people are typing to celebrities "please say something so I can continue liking you".

The genocide is so sad, so low, so inhumane and unfathomable, with political ramifications so complex and hard to penetrate to make it stop, that it feels so idiotic to me to think that celebrities taking a stance is gonna move the needle. It feels so vain, so superficial to "manifest" on the internet. The powerful creeps who support the genocide are the owners of the online ecosystems we are trying to use to "raise awareness". Nothing will f*cking happen. This will only stop when another country with powerful weapons decides to obliterate Israel, or an intelligence service decides to kill every powerful Zionist who is making decisions. "Oh but they should say something" we're acting like idiots, watching our Disney+, scrolling our Instagram putting watermelon emojis, wanting declarations of support to appease our egos while people drop dead and go limbless by the hour. What I imagine if Palestinians could see all of our "efforts" to help is them feeling extremely frustrated. People think that "shifting public opinion" and if more people are "aware" and on Palestine side, it will do something. Delusion.

It's like the black square on Instagram for BLM all over again. Illusions of the ego to feel some sense of control. 2 minutes of thoughts and prayers and then keep scrolling.

Could I be wrong and being too nihilistic? Am I just "accepting things as they are" and just angry at the feeling of powerlessness? Am I not seeing where our power resides? Could be. But Instagram posting and taking stances doesn't feel like an answer to me at all. It feels like this will only end with vehement physical action rather than argumentation. Like something needs to be done THERE.

Its very much an online discourse thing. 

And its gone from a "why is she silent" thing during the last 2 years into a wider grievance against her because her business deals are becoming increasingly linked to shady VC networks which the world is finally waking up to and talking about. 

Like it'd largely died down because she was out of the public eye - but that OuterBio announcement and the donor networks its tied to have reignited the subject.
